You can carry an STI without knowing

Chlamydia affects 1 in 10–20 women in their early twenties, blocking tubes silently. Testing is simple and treatment is easy.

Chlamydia is carried by roughly 1 in 10–20 women in their early twenties, and a single exposure to an infected partner transmits it 30–50% of the time. It spreads silently from cervix to tubes and abdomen, blocking them — a textbook case of infertility created unnoticed.

What you can do now

If you have ever been sexually active and never tested, test once. Antibiotics clear it easily — and treat the partner at the same time.
